Vietnam

Vietnam

Vietnam curves around the eastern edge of the IndoChina peninsula bordering on China in the north and Cambodia in the south. Long and thin, it is a mountainous, forested and mostly hilly country.

Vietnam includes the UNESCO World Heritage Site of beautiful, tranquil Halong Bay with its monumental limestone islands, the new metal and glass high-rises of Hanoi City and floating markets, paddy fields and nature reserves.

Hanoi in the north is the capital where modern apartment buildings with full facilities and detached homes in West Lake, Tay Ho and Ciputra are popular. The biggest city with the largest population is Ho Chi Minh, formerly Saigon, in the south. It is divided into 24 districts with 1 and 3 the most central, a hit especially with younger residents.

Families generally look to the international schools and relative peace of central District 2 and especially the apartments and houses with communal sports facilities of Thao Dien and An Phu. The tree-lined streets of Phu My Hung, a master-planned community in District 7 give easy access to Saigon South International School.
