Savills wins planning permission for Genesis Housing Group.

The Savills Planning team in London have recently secured planning permission at appeal for a residential development at 658-660 High Road in Tottenham, London N17. The Council refused planning permission on a host of planning related issues including the loss of a locally listed building, the density and massing of the development, the s.106 obligations, amongst other considerations. The Inspector at appeal was persuaded on all accounts with the appellant's planning case and in particular supporting the density position and scope of planning obligations relating to affordable housing provision and financial contributions towards highway improvements.

As a result, the Inspector granted planning permission (and conservation area consent) for the development on 8th August 2008.

The planning team have also recently secured planning permission for residential development at 289-291 Fore Street in the London Borough of Enfield. This success was borne out of planning negotiations on a number of fundamental planning issues in relation to the principle of development and s.106 planning negotiation. Planning permission was granted on 7th August 2008.

The team continue to advise Genesis Housing Group on a number of strategic sites which form part of their London property portfolio.
