Seacourt Tower in Oxford fully let following flurry of lettings

The landmark Seacourt Tower, owned by BA Pension Fund,  is now fully occupied following the completion of letting of 5,699 sq ft (529 sq m) of office space to Vencap International PLC by joint leasing agents Savills and VSL. This follows a string of deals in the building during 2017 totalling 13,700 sq ft (1,272 sq m) to Reed Global, Handelsbanken, Brewin Dolphin and Boeing.

Office take-up in the City of London reached 493,390 sq ft (45,836 sq m) in September, bringing total take-up for the first three quarters of 2017 to 4.8 million sq ft (445,920 sq m),  20% up on the same point last year, says international real estate advisor Savills.

Birmingham’s core and fringe office take up looks set to exceed 850,000 sq ft (78,965 sq m) by year end, according to Savills, as sustained requirements from HS2-linked occupiers and the generally diverse nature of demand mean the city remains well shielded from Brexit.  This annual total would be 21% above the five-year average of 703,000 sq ft (65,309 sq m), says the firm.
