Are you getting what you hoped for? I’ve already done far more than I ever imagined. When I moved on to the European Investment team I immediately worked on the $750 million purchase of the Cevahir Shopping Centre in Istanbul.
What did the project involve? I helped with due diligence, gaining real insight into what drove the investment and how to add value.
What was the greatest benefit? Learning how to work across international borders with all sorts of people has been incredibly valuable – there aren’t many surveyors at my level who’ve been able to work internationally, and it’s where I see my career going.
How would you describe the working style? You pick up skills on the job, meaning you see what you’ve learned being put into practice. You also get to work closely with the top level people who have made Savills successful.
