When did you join Savills?
I joined Savills’ Regional Investment team as an Analyst in 2008, where I was involved in various cross-border property sales projects across Asia Pacific, mandated by institutional clients and real estate funds.
What made you choose Savills?
I choose Savills not only because of the firm’s leading position in Hong Kong and its truly global presence, I also liked the enthusiasm and energy level demonstrated by the team. The team took buying and selling to the next level. Behind every successful transaction lies many man hours of analysis time, market research work, number crunching and strategy meetings. I was very impressed by the Savills team’s analytical approach towards conducting every investment deal, and its focus on establishing lasting client relationship.
Despite the fact that the company houses some of the best professionals in their fields, yet they are very approachable and always willing to take time to answer any questions. In addition, the firm’s level of involvement in the property markets on a global scale is impressive. Because of this, I had the opportunity to undertake various trips for up to a month at a time to offices in Bangkok, Seoul and Taipei, where I assisted in different sales projects to familiarize with the investment markets in these locations.
What is your current role?
I currently work as an Associate in the Hong Kong Investment team. My daily tasks include analysing a property’s technical aspect, performing cash flow simulations, market research and compiling relevant property comparables that supported the recommendations made to prospective investors. So far I have coordinated various major sales projects for funds and institutions, as well as contributed to winning these mandates. One of the most recent and successful project is 181 Queens Road Central (Grand Millennium Plaza – Low Block), an office strata title campaign which transacted for a total consideration of circa HKD3.4 Billion.
