When did you join Savills?
I joined Savills in 2004 on my working holiday year after university in Australia. Several years later, I had the opportunity to return to Savills in a marketing role looking after London & International Residential based in the West End Head Office.
What is your role?
After returning to Australia in 2009, I now work for Savills Australia as National Marketing & Communications Manager. The national marketing team here in Australia has a broad remit, overseeing all brand initiatives, corporate marketing material & projects around the country.
Are there any specific projects or opportunities that you have been given?
Upon returning to Australia, I have had the opportunity to develop the positioning of the brand here which is much younger than that of the UK business. As well as the opportunity to have a strong influence on this critical element of the business, I also keep in close contact with the team back in London which is great in building internal communications across the global Savills network.
What are the greatest benefits of working at Savills?
New opportunities and challenges afforded to me within the same company across different countries is a huge benefit in working for a truly global company. As well, the entrepreneurial culture of Savills means a lot of flexibility in job role and the opportunity to be involved in broad aspects of the business that may not be possible in other large companies.
