Paul smith to open flagship Australian store in Melbourne’s CBD
17 November 2011
UK fashion label Paul Smith will open its first Australian store in mid-2012 on Melbourne’s Collins Street in the heritage-listed Professional Chambers building. International real estate advisor Savills advised landlord Investa Property Group in the letting of 250 sq m (2,690 sq ft) of retail space across two floors with significant frontage on Collins Street, one of the city’s most sought after addresses.
The new flagship store will join Melbourne's luxury fashion precinct, which already includes luxury brands such as Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, Gucci, Ermenegildo Zegna and Chanel. Paul Smith’s move into Melbourne follows other international fashion brands such as GAP and Zara, who have also opened stores in the city. The British fashion label offers 14 different collections and has stores across the globe.
Michael Di Carlo, associate director retail services at Savills Melbourne, says: "Paul Smith’s business is an exciting addition to the area’s pre-eminent fashion credentials, and continues the tradition of prestigious fashion houses and boutiques that have set up shop here over the years.’’
