Sainsbury’s secures location of convenience in Edinburgh

The retailer has agreed a new 15-year lease on the store, which totals 3,719 sq ft (345 sq m). Sainsbury’s will operate its convenience store format from the new location.
Ross Allardice, retail director at Savills, comments: "This latest acquisition highlights Sainsbury’s commitment to expanding its convenience store format throughout key cities in Scotland."
Jim Bishop, head of acquisitions for Sainsbury’s in the North, says: "This growing retail parade provides an excellent opportunity for a convenience store. Scotland is a key area of growth for our convenience business and we have plans for further stores."
