Savills London Planning team secure planning permission for c.4000 new homes at West Ham for Berkeley Group

Savills London Planning Team last night secured a resolution to grant planning permission for the redevelopment of Stephenson Street, the former Parcelforce depot at West Ham. The scheme, to be delivered in four phases over the next ten-fifteen years includes over 3800 new homes, commercial and retail space, a new 1000 pupil secondary school, two new parks, significant quantum of PRS homes and 4 buildings over 30 storeys. Phase 1 will deliver 1000 of the new homes alongside a new entrance into West Ham tube station, two new pedestrian bridges, the first phase of the park and a new neighbourhood centre. Berkeley were selected as preferred development partner by the GLA, for this, the largest site is their portfolio, in 2015. Savills have been advising throughout.
