Rare opportunity to live in Shropshire’s Morville Hall

11 October 2017

A rare opportunity to rent a Grade I listed hall with seven bedrooms and five reception rooms has become available through Savills Telford.

The National Trust owned Morville Hall in Corvedale near Bridgnorth, Shropshire is built on the site of Morville Priory which was built in the early 11th century for Benedictine monks. The priory later closed in 1540 to make way for Elizabethan Morville Hall, which was later renovated and expanded by architect, William Baker, giving the interior its Georgian influence.

This is only the second time in its history the property has been available to let, after first being rented out in 2014.

Fred Williams of Savills Telford, comments: “Morville Hall coming to the market presents a rare opportunity to rent one of Shropshire’s finest historic homes. It comes with the added benefit of an initial five year lease agreement, giving the new tenant the assurance that they can make it a long term home.

“It retains many of its original Elizabethan features with Georgian influences visible throughout including oak panelling, original fireplaces and cornicing and a grand Georgian staircase. As is to be expected with a National Trust owned property, Morville Hall has the most wonderful extensive formal gardens with commanding views over the unspoilt Shropshire countryside.”

Morville Hall is available to rent for £2,000pcm. For further information, please contact Fred Williams at Savills Telford on 01952 239 515 or email fwilliams@savills.com.
