Savills appoints Shaun Rhodes head of POP Marketing

Savills has appointed Shaun Rhodes to head POP Marketing, a service within its property management division which provides event management, PR, digital marketing, strategic marketing and social media advice to clients.  POP launched in early 2015 and is now instructed on more than 30 properties including shopping centres; retail, leisure and business parks; outlets; and Business Improvement Districts. 

Shaun has 17 years experience in the shopping centre and visitor attractions industry, most recently as head of marketing at centre:mk in Milton Keynes.  Prior to this, he undertook several marketing manager roles including at Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet in Ellesmere Port.

Based in Manchester, Shaun will lead the seven-strong POP team which operates from Savills offices both there and in London.  The team comprises marketing manager Katie White; events & place making manager Shanta Bhagwandin; marketing executives Laura Nuttall and Sarah Bristow; digital executive Samantha Williams and digital apprentice Lucy Pearson-Comer.   

POP specialises in providing a catalogue of ‘Burst Campaigns', one-off pockets of events or activity or events that can be executed on a large scale and rolled out across the UK for key retail dates such as Christmas, Easter and Valentine’s Day.  Instructions include The Brewery, Romford; Monks Cross, York; Xscape in Yorkshire and Milton Keynes; The Fort, Birmingham and Harrow BID.
