Guildford's late night leisure venue The Legion comes to market

International real estate advisor Savills has brought to market the leasehold interest of The Legion in Guildford, Surrey on behalf of its owner, Alasdair Wilson.  The late night leisure venue comprises three separate concepts with a bar, nightclub and karaoke rooms.

Established in 2007, The Legion offers 6,200 sq ft (576 sq m) of trading space including a first floor night club with capacity for 200 customers.  The rest of the venue is dedicated to a successful cocktail and karaoke concept created in 2016, which comprises the ground floor ‘Oke Bar and top floor ‘Oke Rooms.  Various areas including the bar and premium karaoke booths have recently been refurbished. 

Chris Bickle, licensed leisure director at Savills, comments: “This city centre venue is located a short distance from the main retail area and benefits from Guildford’s substantial  residential and student population.  Guildford is a popular commercial centre and is one of the most sought after leisure hubs outside of London.”

Current owner Alasdair Wilson adds: “'In 2016 I decided to split the venue to provide three concepts that compliment each other. You start an evening with some singing in a karaoke booth, move to enjoying some cocktails whilst listening to some great live music and finish the evening dancing the night away in the nightclub. “The venue is superbly well fitted and no expense has been spared in its design.  With the University of Surrey student union closing for two years, the venue will benefit hugely from increased midweek trade and a strengthening of current weekend trading.  I have enjoyed my time at The Legion and it is time for someone else to take this great venue to its next level.” Premium offers are invited.
