Savills welcomes six graduate surveyors to Manchester team

20 December 2016

International real estate advisor Savills has expanded the team at its Manchester office by welcoming six new graduate surveyors.

The appointments include Camilla Reece-Trapp who graduated from the University of Oxford in 2013 and has since studied abroad at the Japan University of Economics and the University of Leuven in Belgium, as well as undertaking property placements at JLL and Colliers International in Bristol.

The new recruits also include Jay Duffield, who gained a first class honours degree in estate management at Northumbria University encompassing a placement year as part of the business space team at Legat Owen in Chester.  They are joined by Jonathan Williams who studied a real estate degree at the University of Reading, including an eight week internship at DTZ in 2015.  Chris Keen has joined the building surveying team as a graduate whilst also studying MSc commercial building surveying at LJMU.  He previously worked at Westfield Europe Limited in London, overseeing temporary retail fit outs for five years.

Additionally, James Robertson and Ricardo Gutierrez-Inostroza have joined the Manchester office as graduate surveyors within the last 12 months and form part of the 2016 intake.  James is specialising in property management and, as he is on a non-rotating graduate scheme, will remain part of the team for almost his whole APC training period.  He graduated with a business degree in 2005 and changed career path last year after achieving a Masters in real estate and property management at the University of Salford, for which he was awarded the Hays prize for best overall mark in the year.

Ricardo studied for both an undergraduate degree in law and a postgraduate diploma LPC at the University of Central Lancaster before going into a legal practice focussing on property law.  He has since completed a Masters in real estate asset management at the University of Manchester.

James Evans, head of Savills Manchester, comments: “We are pleased to have welcomed these six individuals as graduate surveyors, who will continue working closely with our experienced teams to develop their skills and knowledge.  Many senior directors across the Savills business began in graduate roles and we are proud of our commitment to nurturing talent through the graduate scheme.”
