BA Pension Fund, represented jointly by Savills and OBI, has let office space at St James’s Tower in Manchester city centre to Coupland Cavendish (trading as Gowing Law Solicitors).

The legal practice has agreed a new five-year lease for the recently refurbished twelfth and fourteenth floors of the property, which total 5,958 sq ft (553 sq m), at a rent of £22.50 per sq ft (£242 per sq m).  Located on Charlotte Street, the Grade A office building offers exceptional transport links and is let to occupiers including Slater & Gordon, Watts and JLT.

Mark Evans, managing director of Coupland Cavendish, comments: “We are delighted to have worked with Savills on this project.   We are excited to be moving into St James’s Tower which is perfectly suited for our growing business.”

Daniel Barnes, associate in the office agency team at Savills, comments: “We are pleased to have let two floors at St James’s Tower to Coupland Cavendish following a significant investment in refurbishment by BA Pension Fund.  The building has recently attracted considerable interest and works are now underway on refurbishment of the sixth through to the tenth floors, which will be ready for occupation from the start of December.”

Savills is also the managing agent at the property.
