Luxury accessories brand Meli Melo opens Regent Street pop up store

28 October 2016

Luxury accessories brand meli melo, represented by international real estate advisor Savills, has acquired a unit in The Crown Estate’s Quadrant Arcade on Regent Street, London for its first retail pop up store.

The brand, which was founded by British entrepreneur Melissa Del Bono and has a flagship store in Notting Hill, has agreed a short-term lease for the 1,850 sq ft (172 sq m) property. With an aesthetic embracing meli melo’s Italian heritage, the new store will showcase the brand’s AW16 and SS17 collections while providing customers with the ultimate luxury retail experience.

Founder and creative director Melissa Del Bono, who established meli melo from her London home in 2005, grew up on the Sicilian island of Lipari and every accessory is expertly crafted in Florence by a family of Italian artisans.  Melissa Del Bono has also designed a special Christmas collection which will be exclusive to the pop up store.

Tiffany Luckett of the Central London retail team at Savills comments: “meli melo is thrilled to have acquired its first pop up on Regent Street.  The luxury brand is renowned for heritage, quality and craftsmanship, making it an excellent fit with the street’s existing retail line up.”

Since 2002, The Crown Estate’s on-going £1 billion investment programme for Regent Street has transformed the area into the world’s most popular retail and leisure destination, boasting an impressive array of flagship stores from the most exciting global brands. The Crown Estate manages Regent Street on behalf of the Regent Street Partnership, comprising both The Crown Estate and Norges Bank Investment Management.

CBRE acted for the Crown Estate.
