Three new retailers in the mix at Westway Cross Shopping Park, Greenford

17 October 2016

Royal London, represented jointly by Savills and Curson Sowerby Partners, has secured deals which will see M&S Foodhall, JD Sports and EE join the line up at Westway Cross Shopping Park in Greenford, West London.  WHSmith will also relocate within the scheme while Carphone Warehouse will downsize.

The largest letting is to M&S Foodhall, which has agreed a new 15-year lease for the current WHSmith unit, where the retailer will operate a 14,168 sq ft (1,316 sq m) store across the ground and mezzanine floors.  Additionally, JD Sports will occupy the 5,813 sq ft (540 sq m) former Brantano store and EE has signed up for a 1,300 sq ft (121 sq m) unit that is currently vacant.  Both have agreed new 10-year leases.

As part of the changes, WHSmith will relocate into a 2,777 sq ft (258 sq m) store, currently let to Carphone Warehouse, on a 10-year lease.  Subsequently, Carphone Warehouse will downsize its unit to 2,292 sq ft (213 sq m) and has agreed a new 10-year lease.

Located on the A40 corridor, Westway Cross Shopping Park was recently extended and now offers 135,634 sq ft (12,600 sq m) of retail space across 19 units.  Occupiers include Next, Outfit, TK Maxx, Boots, Sports Direct and New Look.

Yasin Sadiq, senior asset manager at Royal London, comments: “Westway Cross Shopping Park is one of the foremost out of town schemes within the M25 Greater London region.  We are pleased to have secured these five deals which will further enhance the already strong tenant line up.”

M&S Foodhall was represented by CBRE, JD Sports by Wilkinson Williams and Carphone Warehouse by Colliers International.
