Jack Wolfskin hikes into Liverpool One with new standalone store

12 September 2016

Jack Wolfskin, represented by international real estate advisor Savills, has acquired a new store at Grosvenor Europe’s Liverpool One retail and leisure destination at the heart of Liverpool city centre.  The deal enhances the brand’s significant regional foothold in the North of England, which already includes stores in Leeds, Cheshire Oaks and York.

The outdoor clothing and equipment retailer has agreed a new lease for the 3,216 sq ft (299 sq m) unit and plans to open in October this year.  It will be one of just eight standalone Jack Wolfskin stores in the UK, including others in Covent Garden and Westfield London, as the brand’s presence has traditionally been represented by concessions.

The news adds to an exciting year for Liverpool One, which has so far seen The White Company and Bravissimo sign for new stores, as well as the opening of Victoria’s Secret on South John Street.

Paul Nicholson, associate director in the retail team at Savills, comments: “As former sponsor of Liverpool FC, Jack Wolfskin has strong ties to the city and a loyal local following.  We are therefore very pleased to have secured one of its first parent company stores in the North of England in Liverpool.”
