Glasgow's Blochairn Industrial Estate is top choice for Dingbro

On behalf of AEW UK Core Property Fund, international real estate advisor Savills has agreed a new lease on premises at Blochairn Industrial Estate in Glasgow to Dingbro Ltd.

Dingbro, a family owned wholesale distributor of motor vehicle components and truck and trailer parts, has agreed to a new 15-year lease on 14,413 sq ft (1,339 sq m) across Unit 4 A – C. The property was offered at a quoting rent of £5.50 per sq ft (£59 per sq m).

Ross Sinclair, director in the business space team at Savills Scotland, comments: “Blochairn Industrial Estate was purchased by AEW around 12 months ago and shortly thereafter, the largest unit within the estate became vacant.  Discussions commenced with Dingbro very shortly after initial marketing commenced and it was agreed that a refurbishment programme in the region of £250,000 would be undertaken.  The lease to Dingbro is a fantastic result and one that will help AEW continue to improve the estate going forward.”   

The Dingbro deal leaves smaller sized options available for lease within Block 5 between approximately 2,000 – 4,000 sq ft (186 – 372 sq m).  Refurbishment is set to commence on site over the summer period.
