Motorway services site sale, Northamptonshire

04 July 2016

Savills, on behalf of the Property Recycling Group Plc, has sold a development site at Junction One on the A14 at Welford, Northamptonshire to Euro Garages Limited.

The former quarry comprises 44 acres (18 hectares) of prime development land and was sold at an undisclosed price with planning permission for a number of roadside uses.

William Rose, director of business space at Savills Peterborough, comments: “Situated in a prominent roadside location, Welford provides the perfect site for Euro Garages to build and occupy a new motorway service station.”

David Myers of Euro Garages Limited, adds: “We are delighted with our acquisition of this property that fronts the A14 Trunk Road and is in close proximity to Junction 19 of the M1 Motorway. This represents a key expansion opportunity for EuroGarages, situated within a strategic location for our business”.

Paul Rackham Snr, Executive Chairman of Property Recycling Group plc, adds: “We are pleased to have completed the sale to such a progressive company who have a history of successfully completing developments of this type.”
